An unusual but brilliant Italian blend of chardonnay, nascetta, sauvignon and riesling. Delightful ripe but crisp white of real charm made by the Vajra family in Serralunga, Barolo country. Green-apple, peach and chalk notes persist on the finish.
2022 was one of the longest harvests for Langhe Bianco Dragon. Whole cluster pressing was followed by a long and gentle fermentation at low temperature. Dragon 2022 was kept on the fine lees with minimum battonage throughout the winter.
A brilliant light-yellow hue is enriched with floral and fruity aromas alongside mineral aromas at the end. Dry, warm, soft and savory on the palate, with a pungent and balanced freshness.
Luigi and Fiorina have always tended their vines with the utmost care. One episode really illustrates their care. Summer of 2008, two days after a serious hailstorm that hit Serralunga: their vineyards showed no signs of damage because the couple had ‘cleaned’ every single bunch to make sure ruined berries wouldn’t affect the rest of the cluster.
