A white Rhone blend of 23% Viognier, 27% Grenache Blanc, 21% Clairette Blanche, and 29% Picpoul. Fermented and aged in neutral French oak.
Our winemaking philosophy emphasizes simplicity. Simplicity is not easy. You have to work at it. To appreciate something for its simplicity is to fully understand it. Our goal is to do as absolutely little as possible to the wine. We do not use chemical additives, enzymes, color enhancements, or any other foreign substances. Through the struggle of keeping things simple, we create something that is genuine, honest, and beautiful.
We source our grapes from premium vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley, each with their own distinct sense of place. We are very fortunate that these growers have let us work with them. Working with some of the best fruit in the state of Washington allows us, perhaps obligates us, to intervene as little as possible.
Aromatics of jasmine and white flowers, orange blossom, pear, and mint. Medium bodied with candied citrus fruits, apricot, ginger, soft cheese rind, and exotic spices. A crushed stone minerality covers the mid-palate. The finish lingers and is dry, fresh, and zesty with just a bit of natural tannins coming through for extra lift. This will pair very well with food.
